Engage Marketing actively operates five inkjet addressing systems. "Additionally, our HP Indigo 5000 addresses while printing," says Mackel. "We use USPS' IMB primarily for confirming mail tracking services. Some of our customers have their own USPS mailer ID that provides electronic address update notification from our application of intelligent barcodes on their mail. We have a detached USPS mail verification unit in our facility to maximize USPS discounts through logistical drop shipments."
"Most of our work is advertising prints," says Mackel. "The customers demand the best quality finished product we can deliver within budget." The company employs a Rollem TR to apply consistent scores and perforations for jobs that are brought into Engage's facility. "The Rollem TR functions in a short run environment, but delivers large hourly output when needed," says Mackel. "Our customers appreciate the quality greeting cards, response tear offs, and cracking prevention they receive from us," he adds.
Engage Marketing's finishing equipment provides the flexibility necessary to correct demands that may be overlooked by outside print agencies. "It is a necessary capability to have in an environment turning over thousands of short run direct mail projects," adds Mackel.
