Slipstream

 
The Slipstream by Rollem has single-handedly revolutionized the trading, gaming and playing card industries. By eliminating separate guillotine, collating, perforating, and creasing operations, the Slipstream removes the need for hand or machine collating, labor costs, factory space and higher capital equipment costs. With the push of a single button the Slipstream:

• Trims all four edges of a sheet and the multiple printed images
• Cuts the sheet into separate rectangular portions as small as 1 7/8” x 2 1/2”
• Perforates and/or creases each portion
• Collects and delivers all the portions into a fully collated stack or individual pack, with accuracy within 1/1000th of an inch.
• Transfers the packs to in-line round corner, shrink
wrap, box die cut or over-wrap systems.

The following diagram shows the processing of a multiple-up image sheet into single packs.One operator can cut, score, perforate, collate, up to 500,000 pieces in one hour! Compare that with the logistics and manpower needed to move material back and forth from the guillotine to the collating machine. The Slipstream produces product so perfect, that you can literally pull a piece from a deck processed six months prior and it will be a perfect mate to a deck processed yesterday. This R&S Round Corner system is an in-line attachment for the Rollem Slipstream for complete automation in card pack production. The R&S is designed to accept the cut/collated decks of cards from the Slipstream. They are automatically transferred into the punching unit where they are round cornered with extreme accuracy. For further automation, the Slipstream and R&S can run in-line with shrink wrapping systems. With production speeds of up to 70 decks per minute, the R&S Round Corner and Slipstream Systems are the most efficient, profitable method for card pack production.
