Our Rollem manufacturing facility in Sheffield, England is home to some of the best steel materials and engineer-grade iron ore. Sheffield has a long tradition of producing some of the world’s finest swords and cutting edges and its products are well known for their quality and durability.
Our Insignia line of die cutters is proudly designed and manufactured in the United States. Rollem sells and supports all of our products in-house.
We carry the torch by designing and fabricating finishing solutions that are fast, accurate, and extremely durable.
Our portfolio includes standard finishing solutions and an in-house engineering staff for custom and one-of-a-kind configurations.
We have a solid base of existing customers who utilize Rollem machines for use with traditional offset or sheet-fed print engines. Our Jetstream solution is ideal for converting digital press output and we partner with most of the major press manufacturers. Rollem offers one of the few slitting machine manufacturers with a solution for B2 or 30” wide sheets.

1929
Established
Rollem Patent Products, Sheffield, UK, is established as an engineering firm.
1932
American Printing Equipment Supply Company
American Wood Type Mfg. Co. is founded in New York City and eventually becomes American Printing Equipment Supply Company and carries the Rollem line of products.
1963
Rollem Corporation of America
Rollem Corporation of America is established in Manhasset, NY as the U.S. distributor for Rollem products. The Comet Scoring, Slitting & Perforating machine gives printers an economical method and ability to move their scoring and perforating away from their letterpresses.
1978
Long Island, NY
Rollem moves to Hempstead in Long Island, New York. With the expansion of quick print franchises across the country, Rollem introduced the Auto-4 Automatic Numbering machine giving printers the ability to number, perforate, score and slit in one machine.
1981
Anaheim, CA
Company opens West Coast branch in Anaheim, CA. Rollem and introduces the “Slipstream” playing card converting system which becomes the industry standard for cutting and collating playing cards and collector’s sets.
1985
TR Die-Score System
Recognizing the need for high volume off-press die scoring, the company introduces the TR Die-Score System which is sold to most major binderies in the U.S. Growth continues as expanded post-press finishing solutions are added to the Rollem line covering North and South America, Latin America and Asia.
2004
Jetsteam XY Slitter
Anaheim, CA becomes the new corporate headquarters of Rollem International. The Jetsteam XY Slitter becomes the top choice for digital printers requiring production level slitting and scoring.
2014
Insignia Series
Recognizing the growth potential from the packaging sector, Rollem introduces a new category of die cutters with the release of the Insignia Series of sheet-fed, flexo-magnetic die cutters.

Rollem International
Today, Rollem International is family owned and operated by third and fourth generation family members. Rollem International and Rollem Patent Products maintain a close relationship to provide printers worldwide with the industry’s finest quality print finishing machinery.
